Bonjour,

Je veux vous annoncer avec un énorme plaisir le lancement officiel de la plateforme PlantCatching. Vous pouvez dès à présent l'utiliser pour trouver et donner des plantes autour de chez vous. Sachez toutefois que le site web peut comporter des bugs donc je vous demande votre patience.

Que se passe-t-il maintenant ? J'imagine que vous allez vouloir inscrire votre adresse sur la page principale de recherche et vous allez sans doute constater qu'il n'y aucun résultat. Ne soyez pas déçu. Ceci est totalement normal puisque le service est si jeune. C'est à vous de vous l'approprier et de le faire connaitre autour de vous. La page "Faire connaitre" sur le site vous donne différents moyens d'y arriver et vous en trouverez peut-être d'autres que je brule de connaitre. Je vais tout de même vous mentionner le principal: donnez vous-même une plante en mode public devant chez vous en n'oubliant pas d'y apposer la fameuse étiquette. Un autre jardinier sera accroché et deviendra peut-être un futur utilisateur. Si vous le voyez, parlez-lui, faites connaissance pourquoi pas, et demandez-lui de faire de même.

Pour ma part, je devrais pouvoir diviser et offrir une galane oblique et une astilbe (si ce n'est pas trop difficile de la diviser à la scie, il parait que c'est dur) ce dimanche si accalmie. Une amie pourrait aussi m'offrir des vivaves avant travaux que je mettrai sur le site. Indice: cherchez "H4A" et si vous êtes dans le coin, venez vous servir et sonnez pour faire connaissance.

I am very pleased to announce the official launch of the platform PlantCatching. You can use it right now to find and give plants in your neighborhood. Be aware that the web site may still be buggy, so please be patient until fixes are posted.

What happens now? I imagine you'll want to write your address on the main search page and you will probably find out that there is no result. Don't be disappointed. This is completely normal since the service is so young. This is now your turn to make it your own and to make it known around you. The "Seed around" page on the web site gives you different ways to get there and you may find other ways that I'm eager to know. Let me still mention the main one: give a plant in public mode infront of your home and do not forget to attach the famous label. Another gardener will be hooked and may become a future user. If you can see him, talk to him, get to know each other why not, and ask him to use PlantCatching by making a first donation.

For my part, I should be able to divide and offer a Chelone Obliqua and one astilbe (if it is not too difficult to divide with a saw, it seems that it is hard) this Sunday. A friend will maybe also offer perennials before a deck is built and I will put them on the site. Hint: look for "H4A" and if you're in the area, come grab them and get in touch.
